Experiment 2 - 5 REAL TIME IMAGE CAPTURES SHOWING A LUMION ENVIRONMENT

5 REAL TIME IMAGE CAPTURES SHOWING A LUMION ENVIRONMENT

This image was show the side view of my light rail way station.
This is an over view of my railway station. my design was insproed by Teodoro 's quote, which is "Now I am more interested in the contrast between those forms that give permanence and solidity. Something that gives them lightness and novelty. "

This is a overview of the station.
This is a over view of the top of my station. And the most interesting thing is, the station will got a beautiful shadow view above the ground, which create an interesting scene here.
This picture is the aerial view of the station.
There are some reasons I wanted design this railway station.
at the first, I think this station was served  all UNSW student transported to city, I think an open space is necessary for a not small numbers population. Second, from a sustainability point,  it can reduce large amount of material usage from making railway station. Third, I was travel to Melborne before. there is keeping using tram now. however, instead of the old narrow tram station, the tram station has an open view and a clear theme reflect to the city. So I was trying to gathering some iconic points in our campus. which can represent our schools stories,  which i was inspired by David.

Experiment 2 - THE 36 CUSTOM TEXTURES

THE 36 CUSTOM TEXTURES

I was choose the last second one as the design texture using.

THE TWO CONCEPTS

THE TWO CONCEPTS

TEODORO GONZALEZ DE LEON

"Now I am more interested in the contrast between those forms that give permanence and solidity. Something that gives them lightness and novelty."

I was deeply inspired by this quote from Teodore. In Theodora's architecture, he was prefer to designing an interesting building, investigating performance which is unusual. He also think patio is the most important part of a building. therefore, I think this is fully influenced Teodoro's attitude for using the natural light and artificial light. This point was deeply influenced my design in this experiment.

DAVID ADJAYE

"I think that we are very interested in ‘crafting’ buildings — the physical craft of construction and the narrative behind the craft of making buildings. something else that we’re very interested in is not only trying to translate more than just the performance, efficiency and power of a thing, but also have a conversation about stories."

From this quote, I found that the beauty of building is not just the strong structure and fluency performance. It also about the inside of the building.Every window, every wall plays what role inside the building,  told us what designer wants to tell which is also important for me to learning.

THREE ANIMATIONS FROM SKETCH UP

THREE ANIMATIONS FROM SKETCH UP

This is the overview of the datum. The above ground which is structured by the large window. The glass of every façade provide a perfect illumination of natural light. The design of the structure and the frame is inspired by Issey Miyake's work, which is a perfect costume designer in Japan. And the under ground studio also has a nice ocean view, and this is designed for Magnus Walker, which was a creative designer of refitting car. His work is all about innovation and refreshing things.  Therefore, I designed his studio like this.

This two video below are section and plan of  my datum.

IMAGES OF ARCHITECTURE

IMAGES OF ARCHITECTURE

This is the first draft of above ground.

This is the first draft of under ground.

This is the developed above ground space, which was adding the stair into the architecture. The stair in my architecture is an outside stair, which can offer function of stair, also creating a rest space for the visitor.

This is the overview of this two studio, which is located on a cliff. Under ground studio is just inside the sand stone. Also, at the under ground space you can easily get the out side view of the ocean.

This view is choosing from the under ground, which is the stair connecting underground's first floor and second floor.

This view is also choosing from the under ground, which is a part view of the underground area.

This is view of the stair which connecting above ground and under ground. At the back of stair is the show room, which is a part of above ground space. However, the stair also makes it become a unique part of underground space.
